Kerali Davis - Vice President Kerali Davis - Vice President

Kerali moved to Newcastle at the age of 2 and attended Newcastle Schools from Kindergarten until high school graduation.  Kerali was a gymnast growing up and was a Racer cheerleader throughout junior high and high school.  Kerali’s brother, Jaye, also a Newcastle “lifer,” participated in youth and school sports at Newcastle.  Kerali obtained her Bachelor Degree in Management Information Systems and Human Resources Management (with Honors) from the University of Oklahoma in 2004. Kerali and her husband, Bart have one son, Brady, who has been in Newcastle’s youth sports program since 3rd grade.

Kerali was appointed to the NASA board in 2009 to fill a position left vacant by Cory Wilson and was elected to the executive secretary position in 2010.  She has been an active participant in the planning and/or production of the NASA Punt, Pass, and Kick Event, PTO Carnival, and NASA Football Banquet.  She has served on the coach selection committee for NASA football and initiated a partnership between NASA sports and the STOP Sports Injuries campaign.  She feels her greatest achievement with NASA so far has been taking part in the implementation of the Summer Speed and Agility Program sparked by youth coaches’ desire to develop exceptional athletes, and fueled by a special relationship with professional sports trainer, Chat Williams.

Kerali’s passion for youth sports is limitless and, although she is a football fanatic, she has a special interest in athletic development from the standpoint of nutrition, proper training, and the prevention of sports related injuries.  Her goal through NASA is to create awareness among coaches, parents, and athletes of the importance of proper training and nutrition through education and information sharing.  Fostering a healthy three way relationship between athletes, parents, and coaches is absolutely essential to reaching maximum athletic achievement.  She also hopes to see more park improvements, the addition of a 7 on 7 league, and weight lifting clinics for the older athletes moving into school sponsored athletics.

“Right now there is more passion than ever in Newcastle Youth Sports.  I feel honored to be among all of these wonderful people as they continue to keep Racer pride alive.”

Gary Knowles - Treasurer Gary Knowles - Treasurer

Gary was raised and participated in youth athletics in Moore.  A family move brought him to Western Heights where he graduated in 1988.  Gary attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas and earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics in 1992.  Gary is employed in a family business that specializes in providing printing, filing and promotional product solutions.  Gary is happily married to Kathy Burrus, who is an educator and currently an assistant principal at Moore High School. Gary and Kathy made the decision to call Newcastle home and moved to the community in 2001.   They have one child, Garrett, who is currently a proud 6th grade Racer student athlete.  Gary is blessed with a family that shares his love of sports.  Gary enjoys watching, participating, and coaching youth to be the best students, athletes and citizens that they can be.  Gary has been a member of the Newcastle All Sports Association since 2006.  In 2007 he was appointed to fill an open NASA board position and serve on the Executive Board of NASA as Treasurer.  He has been nominated each year to continue to serve as Treasurer.  When the Canadian Valley Football league disbanded, he stepped in as Newcastle Football Coordinator for Deep Fork Valley Football.

I view the opportunity to serve on the board as an investment in the youth and the Newcastle community.  During my time on the board, I have witnessed and participated in much progress in our organization and facilities.  We now have an online system for registrations as well as an accounting system to keep track of income and expenses historically.  The board has made improvements to the baseball and football park totaling over $50,000.    The concession has been updated, fences painted and replaced, playing fields improved, and trees planted.  At the same time by being fiscally responsible, NASA has been able to begin a scholarship program and support school and community programs like the PTO Carnival and Punt, Pass & Kick during the July 4th Celebration.  During my service on the board, NASA has expanded the offerings to include boys and girls basketball as well as speed and agility programs.  I am proud of NASA’s accomplishments during the recent years.  There is more work to be done.

Daniel Cochran - Board Member Daniel Cochran - Board Member

Daniel moved from Oklahoma City to Newcastle in 2007. He is married to Newcastle "Lifer" Angela (Fannin) Cochran and has two children who attend Newcastle Elementary, Nicholas and Olivia.

Daniel enjoys working with kids and believes in values that can be learned through participation in team sports. "So many valuable lessons can be taught through athletic programs. Teamwork, discipline, accountability, responsibility, success and sometimes failure are all valuable lessons in life that kids can gain knowledge of by simply being part of a team."

Daniel is impressed with the enthusiasm of the newcastle community. He wants to see N.A.S.A. grow and compete at a level comparable to OKC, Moore, and Norman. He believes we have all the makings of a great association and the next step is to make sure we reach out to the community and get our kids and parents involved.

Aimee Walker - Board Member Aimee Walker - Board Member

I grew up in the Mid-Del area and graduated from Del City High School.  I married my high school sweetheart, Jeramiah Walker.  We celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary this year.  We have 5 children. (Deanna 18, Kailee 13, Cassidy 12, Xavier 7, and Aly 6)  We moved to Newcastle in Spring of 2008 and our children started school in Newcastle the fall of 2008.  Our son plays basketball, baseball and football.  One of our daughters plays basketball (I am coaching her 6th grade team this season.)  I work full time and enjoy baking/decorating cakes in my free time.  My husband and I have a heart for kids who might not have stable, strong home lives.  I feel NASA has a great opportunity to minister to those children and provide a safe environment where the children can learn self-respect, self-confidence, the meaning of a team and a community.  I believe what we put into these children now is what we can expect to get out of them in the future.
