Newcastle All Sports Association

Coaches

All Coaches and Assistant Coaches

We would like to thank all of you that have volunteered, we couldn't do it without you.  This year we made some changes to better help and protect our children.

Here are the new requirements:

1.  You must complete the N.A.S.A. application form.

(Please print the form and then fill it out, leave the SSN blank)

2.  A background check will be completed
OSCN and the the Sex Registry, if something comes back of interest, then we will
ask for your SSN# and complete a more detailed search.

3.  Must be approved by the coaches selection committee.

4.  All Coaches/Assistants Must complete an on-line evaluation.
[If you have completed the test for basketball, you do not have to do this again, just make a copy of your card]  Each new or previously coach or assistant coach in N.A.S.A. is required to complete an on-line test at National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA) coaches website NAYS.org.  Your team will not be allowed on the field of practice or games unless the head coach and all assistants are certified.  The cost is $25.  To obtain Initial Level Membership, you will first complete the Introduction to Coaching Youth Sports course. You will then complete one sport specific course.  There is an exam at the end of each.  It takes about an hour or so to complete both courses.  Once completed you will receive your NYSCA certified card in the mail in 5 to 7 days.  The card verifies that the named individual qualifies for NYSCA Membership, including liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000, while acting as a coach in youth activities for which he/she has completed Initial Level NYSCA training.

        1.  Once logged-in you will select a sport.
        2.  Enter your information.
        3.  Select your chapter:  Oklahoma Chapter
        4.  Enter League Name:  N.A.S.A.
        5.  Select AYF Affiliated?  NO
        6.  Enter credit card information.
        7.  Began Course
